IPO 9.0.4 w/ UCM - VM to EM Office 365

Hey Tech-Tips,

We're having some problems getting the voicemail to email to work with one of our IPO 9.0.4 installs. The client is on a UC Module.

At this point my tech is thinking that the problem is with a setting on the office 365 side of things.

Avaya says it's supported but I'm having trouble finding a solution that IS NOT a workaround and I've seen references to the fact that VM Pro does not encrypt the voicemail-to-email messages??

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Same exact thing here possibly. The strange thing about UC module vm pro 9.0.4 is that there is no TLS checkbox--though it still might be doing TLS anyway (see trace below). I can get it to work perfectly with office 365 through the IPO 500v2 (using alarms over SMTP) but the same settings don't seem to work for vm pro on the UCM.

Did you get it to work? Anyone know a way to send out through the IP Office 500v2 when using VM Pro? 127.0.0.1 or something? That would be great.

My trace is below--it says authentication error but I've checked and compared settings again and again with the one that works though the 500v2 (on 9.0.4). This one also used port 25 but I get the same error with port 587

Well nevermind. It does look like the UC module's TLS is fine. I got emails to go through on 587. I had used two different sources of documentation for the password between when I tested with the IP Office 500v2 and VM Pro on the UCM--one source was wrong. So I can attest to the 9.0.4 UC Module working with Office365 over port 587 using authentication (username and password)--encription/TLS is automatic

What are the credentials that you used?
