IPO 5620 Phones New or Not?

Anyone know the story on Avaya IP phones 5620's. According to the install guide all the way back to 2007 (4.x) says they are no longer available from Avaya and are replaced by the 5621's. However, I just bought three 'new' 5621's from a dealer and they sent me 5620's. They are claiming these are new.

They look identical to a 5621 other than the number on it so just wondering:

1) Is it true avaya has not been selling these for years?

2) Is there any difference between the 5621 and 5620's that I should worry about?

They do look new however just want to be sure...

The 5621 has backlight and the 5620 do not have backlight.
The 5620's are older then the 5621 but the 5621 are end of sale too since a couple of months.
So those phones hardly can be new.

They are new as in they are not second hand/used, but they have been sat on shelves for a few years, also there is a price difference so demand the difference back
