IPO 500 8.1 Terminal barred on 5410

One of my customers bought a IPO 8.1 to replace his IPO 406 and asked me to install it. He already has 5410 phones, and bought a combo card. He did not buy any licences so it will run in basic mode. All the programing I have done has been in standard not basic. I went in and did the basic setup for a squared system and plugged in a phone. The phone did a firmware update then came up this terminal is barred. I can not find anything that I am missing. I tried put them in calling group 1, allowed list 1 with a wild card and outbound bar is not checked. What am I missing here?

You must be on IPOffice (essential) mode as the 5410 do not work in basic mode.

If it is new IPO 500v2 then install R7 on it, it will run IPO mode without a license and the 54xx phones will work.
Or buy a 8.1 essential edition license ( cheaper as new phones ).

I forgot about that
I even had an Ip500 fail last week and replaced it by a V2 and i loaded it with 8.1 and downgraded it to 7.0 as it had no licenses
I really need a holiday

Thanks guys. I was afraid that was the problem. Good input also. I did not think of downgrading it to work.

I wonder when Avaya will stop you from downgrading an 8.1 switch? I bet 9.0 will force this. Im on the trials and well lets say I have an issue downgrading from 9 to 8.1 afterwards....
