IPO 500 8.1 embeded AA not answering

Hello everyone,

Hardware,

IPO 500 8.1
2 each combo cards have 8 POTS lines
1 DS /PRI currently only used for DS

all phones ring however AA:1 does not answer.

incoming call route destination > HG 200 > rings several phones
Fallback extension AA:AA1

we just began managing this system this morning.

Any insight of course would be greatly appreciated [ponder]
 
Fallback is only when the destination is totally unavailable, not just when it doesn't answer :)

 
For example, the group in night service with voicemail off and no fallback set :)

 
To clarify, groups and incoming call route have fallback, but before 9.1 only another group can be a groups fallback where as anything can be an incoming call route fallback. To confuse matters slightly early 9.1 Managers allowed any destination to be set in a groups fallback tabs even though it wasn't valid, this has been fixed in the latest 9.1 I believe :)

 
You need to use overflow. Create a dummy user, set call forwarding to a short code. Define the short code as voicemail collect and the number as AA:auto attendant name. Then add that user to the overflow list for your main group.
 
Perhaps I am mistaken but following PMCook's example, you need to create a group that the forwarded user is in. The logic is proper but I do not believe you can overflow to a user, must be to a group containing the unconditionally forwarded user.
 
Thanks everyone. we sis create phantom user etc this morning however it would just not work!!1

in the shortcode we had set as *87, Autoattendant, AA:AA1

which did not work

we changed the AA:AA1 to AA:AA:AA1 and it began working.. IDK why or what the difference is however I will not forget this lol.
