Hi There:

Somebody know if the VCM IP400 in Legacy Cards for IP500v2 are still supported in R9 (the conversion of VCM ports to 3 IP Endpoint License)?

Thanks

It is listed as supported in the R9 docs, it doesn't say whether it still gives free IP endpoint licenses though.

You would actually get a better value by using a combo card instead of a card carrier as you would also be gaining back most of the ports lost from the IP406 chassis.

I'm also ShoreTel certified :(

you don't need the VCM card to get the 3 IP endpoints if I am not mistaking as that is done from the license you have to add VCM channels

I know that in R6 when you reuse an VCM internal card of the IP400 using a legacy card, the number of channels of the VCM is multiplied by 3 and converted in IP Endpoints license. So my client have a VCM24 and making the upgrade we'll have 72 IP Endpoints. This was a huge saving because he have 65 IP Phones installed without license (in IP406 R5 there's no need to license the IP Phones).

I'm including a Combo Card to mantain the 406v2 control unit port as "hbsurfn" suggest.
