IPO 406 digital phone shows 'please wait' 1

Hi Everyone,

we have a customer with IPO 406 and one of their phone needs replacement. When i plugged in new phones it shows please wait and never comes out of it. they're on release 5.0 and I tried to replace 5420 with 5410. Is there anything im doing wrong here or do i have to get really old phone that was on same release or any other suggestion will be appreciated.
 
what address is your tftp server set to? also under the no user add ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES this should resolve your issue
 
The files need to be updated on the phone. If you have a computer that has Manager on it, try opening Manager and re-plugging it in. If it still does not upgrade than the settings in Manager need to be programmed to point to the Manager PC's IP address for phone file upgrades.
 
go to the nouser user, then go to the source number and add ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES then merge, this should resolve the issue
 
Before continuing answer this questions:
what release is the IP Office on?
Do you have the manager with the same software level?
Do you know what is used as the fileserver?

To all others rsponding: the ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES is only for IPO R4.2 and higher and 5410 phones running R5 or higher, so the first question is mandatory to ask just to prevent confusion. It can be done too with the fw_upgrade_on and fw_upgrade_off batch files remember?
 
Hi everyone,
Changed TFTP server on the phone system to point to my laptop.
Tested phone still didn't come up.
Tried Putting in Source Code ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES but still same.
Enabled TFTP under manager preference tab.
Phones were looking for 5410_R2.Bin file.
Couldn't get that old File.
Tried renaming the file 5410_R5.Bin to 5410_R2.Bin and it worked on the phones.
