IPO 403 V2.1 VCM card

I have to expand a 403 v 2.1 to add a VCMM card to utilize IP phones. The manual says nothing larger than a VCM 20. I have a VCM 30 in hand. Will it work?
Will it work with only 20 channels active?
Will it not work at all?

I was shipped the wrong part and wanted to avoid an exchange process if this will work ok..

with R2.1 I would stay away from IP phones to be honest but how many IP sets do you want to add to the system if you need that many channels?
I have to say I never installed a VCM 30 on a 403 before but if you find in the manual that it doesn't work then get the proper size of VCM.
