IPO 2.1(15) with PM 2.1.7

Hi all.

A customer of mine is running the above software, and has a problem getting spurious "you have voicemail" messages from PM. He gets the messages fine when a vm is awaiting collection, but also sometimes when there is no vm.

I called our distributor, and their advice was:

"Upgrade the switch to 2.1(24) and make sure he is not using XP Service Pack 2"

Having read sooo much negative stuff about 2.1(24) I am reluctant to go there! Any thoughts please?

Should I just suggest he downgrades his PM to the previous version, which worked ok?

Hmm let me think

V2.1(15) full of bugs
PM 2.1.7 - not known for its lack of bugs
V2.1(24) - Dubious, it may be ok depending on your set up but I wouldnt bet on it


The considered oppinion of this forum seems to be DOWNGRADE to V2.0(18) & PM 2.0

2.1.15 is DEFINATELY a no-touchey

If you are using DS phones you should be ok on 2.1.24.

If you are using DT phones go with IPGuru's advice and downgrade to 2.0.18
