This is my first post here, so be patient, please ;)

I've got a LG ipLDK-20 and I wonder if I could use the PBX as SIP/H.323 gateway. My idea is to grow installing an Asterisk PBX and to use the ipLDK-20 as gateway to telephony network.

I have read tons of documentation but I'm not sure, the ipLDK-20 has a VOIM module and I think that just the VOIB/VOIBE (ipLDK>=60) can work as SIP/H.323 gateway.

Is it possible with an ipLDK-20 ? What hardware and software is necessary ?

Thanks in advance.

The ipLDK 20 can have a VoIM installed. This provides 4 IP channels by default, a VoIMU could be added to provide an additional 4 IP channels - there for max channels could be 8.....
The ipLDK 20 can be configured for SIP trunks using the VoIM...
The system does not support SIP extns.

Steve

Yes, I have a ipLDK-20 and a VoIM module.

I have succesfully validated several SIP users (SIP Attr 2) in the Asterisk server but when I dial from an Asterisk SIP phone it displays:

-- Got SIP response 486 "Busy Here" back from 192.168.0.251:5060

The ipLDK-20 doesn't receive incoming calls from Asterisk, I have read tons of documentation and followed this thead for incoming calls: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1641804, but no success.

The ipLDK-20 is configured as a trunk in Asterisk, maybe I need a networking license?

Thanks in advance.

Well ... it works !

The problem was an incorrect number of channels in PGM 380. Now I have reserved 2 channels for Phontage, so I've got 4-2=2 channels for IP lines.

I have followed this post Link (Thanks, morenot!) and now the ipLDK-20 can send and receive telephone calls through two new lines.

The question is: the ipLDK-20 manages the Asterisk server as a external VoIP provider, not as two linked PBX. I'd like to do some kind of "Networking" (as referred in LG manuals), having different dial extensions but properly integrated.

It is possible, or I need a networking license or/and a more advanced ipLDK model ?

Thanks in advance.
