On a new install of an IPKII Rel 2.0, When a user dials out (PRI) there is a long pause before the user hears the ring back. Reason for this or can this be adjusted?

Thanks
Mansell

The reason for this is that PRI is out of band signaling. Meaning that the digits are not sent on the actual B channel, but are only sent after the call is complete and the setup message is relayed on the D-channel. The way to make this faster is to setup the ARS feature. This way you can set the max digits for each type of call and the call setup message will be sent immediately when the max digits are reached. There are several commands to set this up so you may want to get your dealers assistance with this.
