i want to use a voip soft phone that can use avaya adresse book.

i've got the phone manager and the audio enable licenses.

the phone manager start in pro version but it's impossible to make an h323 call.

the monitor show a start of h323 call and show an error "No enought Vocoders" and then stop the call.

i found on the internet there is an other mode of phone manager name "iphone manager" who can be use like a soft phone. i don't success to configure ip office manager to have a iphone manager version.

in the user configuration (in ip office manager) there is an option name "phone manager type". the option can be lite, pro or Voip but when i change it and reboot the avaya, the option stay on lite. Is this the probleme ?

When you change the Phone Manager type in the User-tab, you don't have to reboot, just merge.

Is there a VCM-card in the IP Office main-unit? Or else it's shure to fail.

the failure msg you list makes it almost a certainty that you do not have a VCM in the IPO

PhoneManager,PhoneManager Pro, & iPhoneManager are all the same piece of software, the mode of operation changes dependent of the available licence (& the settings of the user in 2.0+)

It also sounds like the system is not recognizing the license for IP Phone Manager becuase when you try and change it to VOIP it comes back as Lite each time. Does your License file read as valid? if so, have you changed that person's IP Phone version in Manager (under the telephony tab) to IP Phone Manager as well?

thanks everyone for your quick answer.

all my licenses are valid.

i just look after VCM and i found two type of VCM.

i've got a IP403, so does it need a hardware VCM or a software VCM ? And if it need a software VCM, where can i find it ?

You need an internal VCM in flavours of 5,10, or 20. These can be purchased from you reseller or distributor.

Once installed (system lid to be taken off, so system need to be powered off) you can configure the VPM line for the codecs requried and tagging with a unique line number
