I am trying to set my FreeBSD 4.8 firewall up so I can connect to the corporate VPN through the firewall, but I am not having any luck. The error message I am recieving is, "Connection timed out!" from the Linux workstation I have and, "Error 629, You have been disconnected from the remote computer you dialed" when connecting from Windows 98.

I have added the following rules to my firewall.

pass tcp from any 1723 to ${internalnetwork)
pass tcp from any 1723 to ${externalip}
pass tcp from ${internalnetwork} to any 1723
pass tcp from ${externalip} to any 1723

pass gre from any to ${internalnetwork}
pass gre from ${internalnetwork) to any
pass gre from any to ${externalip}
pass gre from ${externalip} to any

natd is also running. And the connection speed I have is 128K.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
