Ipecs: Upgrade Version 5.0 to Version 5.5 Clarification

I have recently been upgrading customers Ipecs (MFIM 50 A and B type) who are using version 5.0 to v6.0 (version 6.0Cv is the latest I have).

Now to get to this stage you need to go from version 5.0 then v5.5 then v6.0.

However, there seems to be some discrepancy on how this is done, I have been informed of the following:

If you are going from v5.0 Gi to v5.0xx the files you require are--meta then kernel then application.
If you are going from v5.0 Gs to v5.0xx the files required are --[meta optional], kernel and application.

I would appreciate some clarification.

when upgrading to 5.5 from 5.0 you must delete system files then upload the meta file, then delete files again and upload the kernel then upload the app, i always upload all 3 ive never heard of the meta file being optional?

If the MFIM has software v5.0Gs or below then to upgrade to v5.5 one MUST install the META file, then Kernel, then App.
The Meta file is not optional..

If the MFIM is v5.0H or above then the meta file would have already been loaded, so can upgrade with the Kernel and App.
