Is it possible to turn off or change the stored system prompts on an iPECS system?

I am finally making the leap to using the integrated VSF for our after hours messages but do not like how the system prompts the user:

1. (Custom recorded message) "Thanks for calling leave your message after the beep".
2. (System) "After recording your message you may hang up or press the star key for further options"
3. (System) "Begin recording."
4. (System) *BEEP*

I would like the get rid of #2 and #3. Is this possible?

Our iPECS system is an Australian one:

MFIM/AU95M-E.0Dr APR/09
Boot Version-1.0Aj JUL/08

Check this list - it also goes for iPECS.

They are recorded the same way as usual:

To record system greetings from Attendant;
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button and dial 0 6.
2. Dial the message number. Then you will hear the announcement "Press # button to record" If there is already a recorded message in the number dialed, the recorded message will be played.
3. Dial # to start recording. Start the recording after hearing the announcement "Record your message" and confirmation tone.
4. Or, dial * to record using external music port on the MPB.
5. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button to finish recording. Then confirmation tone is heard and you can record the next one.

Hi doktor, thank you for the quick reply.

When I press (on the System Attendant handset)
[TRANS/PGM] 0 6
The display reads "ENTER SYS NUM (001-072)" and wont let me edit the ones from 073 onwards.

Yes, I checked it out. From iPECS version 5 (like yours MFIM/AU95M-"E".0Dr APR/09 - the letter "E" is the fifth in the alphabet) they have barred for this change.
It was always possible in ipLDK (Aria) before.

The rest of the prompts are hidden, Allan!

No.
I checked it out - and found out that the prompts are a part of the firmware. So you can not change them since it is a part of the firmware.

I tried to be sneaky and upload an individual prompt but it wouldn't let me.

You can upload and download all of the System Greetings as a ROM but I think it would be difficult to edit them.
