Hi all,
We have started iPECS testing and was attracted by SIP over TCP function in PGM 133 with the newest software release: E.0Dr.
Our main goes was to integrate iPECS with Microsoft OCS2007 in which we partly succeeded. As you probably know OCS use SIP over TCP which is not case with many IP PBX's on the market today.
We started by creating a SIP trunk from the iPECS to the OCS server and vice versa and used the TCP switch in PGM 133. We used SIP trunks without any authorisation on the iPECS part.
Basically the trunk is functional in no time and the OCS end users can call any extension on iPECS, but iPECS extensions can’t call OCS users. When we did network analyze we noticed that whenever OCS is sending a SIP invite using SIP over TCP, iPECS accept it and the call is established. But when we initiate a SIP call from the iPECS to the OCS, it always use UDP, even though we have set the method to TCP. I'm not sure what exactly the TCP Connection mode stands for in PGM 133, is it's a bug or I'm misunderstanding something. I have tried with MFIM50B and MFIM100.
Anyone testing iPECS at the moment or have some experience. I'm also available for providing newest firmwares and testing purposes.
Cheers,
Ivo
