I used to be able to log into my ipecs lik with internet explorer, chrome and firefox until recently.
Now ie tells me it cant reach the page. chrome says This site can’t provide a secure connection 192.168.1.253 uses an unsupported protocol.
and firefox states, Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.253. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

They used to state the certificate was invalid but you could bypass that now I cant get in at all.
does anyone have a suggestion to this problem?

Hi

Un-Install the updates for IE and take it back to vers 8 or 9. log onto system, upgrade to 6.1, then install the updates for IE again.

I have a laptop that I leave on IE vers8 for these IPECS units and use the latest Firefox, Chrome for web browsing.

Hi

I don't know if the below is of any use to you either, found it online and seems to confirm that an older version of web browser is required:

iPECS - Blocked access to iPECS / RC4 not supported

There has recently been a major security update on all the major Browsers including:
Google Chrome,
Internet Explorer,
Microsoft Edge,
Firefox,
Opera,

All of these browsers in their latest version will not allow access to systems running RC4 security such as iPECS systems, to get access to theses systems you need to install a browser that supports RC4 protocol still. Below is a link to the Firefox legacy releases, if you download version 35 or lower it will allow RC4 connections which means you can still access the iPECS web interface:

Or try this:
deactivate TLS for web on the phone, change http port to 00080 on the phone, update to 6.1df or newer
and activate TLS again.
