IPECS eMG80 Rotary Phone and Pulse Dialing

Hi there,
I have purchased a second hand IPECS eMG80 pbx to play with at home and learn about telephony.
I am really out of my depth in taking this on, but I am really interested and want to learn all I can.
Before purchasing I ensured pulse dialing and ringing voltage/frequency was correct. I want to connect my rotary phones to this unit as a home project.
When I try to set a station type my only option is DTMF. Why can I not select PULSE?

Please pardon my ignorance, I am very new to this hobby.

Below is my current firmware:
App Version - MPB/AU86M-A.0Kk NOV/15
Boot Version - 2.0Bc SEP/15
Kernel Version - 2.1Af
H/W Issue - 0

I appreciate any assistance,
Daniel

Throw it away and buy a Panasonic.
LG is not for the faint hearted it probably doensn't even do Pulse dialling

Very helpful, by your use of 'probably' probably means you don't know. eMG80/800 DO pulse dialing as long as the appropriate boards are included. Suggest if YOU don't know then don't comment.

Thanks wagtech :)
I have the MBUA main board and only a MODU card installed.
Are you able to lead me in the right direction to figure out if it is supported?

Is there ports for SLT's installed, if so then Program 110 Station Type should allow you to pick from the following...

In case of selecting SLT type, there are 6 types as below:
 SLT (DTMF)
 SLT (Pulse)
 SLT (DTMF VOL-MW)
 SLT (Pulse-MW)
 SLT (DTMF FSK-MW)
 SLT (DTMF POL-MW)

No I only get DTMF in 110.

from this pdf it states:
"Added SLT Pulse and SLT pulse-MW type in PGM 110"
for the 1.4 Jan 2016 update.
My firmware is from 2015. But I may be interpreting this wrong.
As far as I can tell upgrades are not available for download without a license?
I REALLY appreciate your time. It means a lot to get help from professionals like yourself

Any ideas from anyone? I'm really stumped at this point.
I even resorted to trying to find random downloads on the internet of the firmware to no avail. I'm just trying to avoid any kind of further cost as I'm just playing with it. Pirating certainly isn't my goal, though. I'm jsut after getting pulse dialing to work :)

Spent the weekend trying to research this problem but aren't getting anywhere with it.
If I am on the wrong track with this PBX, what other cheap option would I have that supports pulse dialing?

unfortunately with the eMG and UCP systems, ELG has implemented license based firmware upgrades. Really great when you need a bugfix from a latest firmware, but customer is out of license.

I think at v2.0Bc you are too far gone on that system to be able to use a demo license to get the firmware update done. But hey, worth a try.
