Hi abl

I think that you can only use KIRK DECT repeaters with the KIrk systems like the 500 and the 1500, since the use a special signalling between the master base and the repeaters. I tried once to use Siemens basestations and KIRK repeaters but with no luck.
So you need to use only LG or KIRK DECT base/repeater equipment.

Hello
I have some lg 24 dect with some kirk repeter
it is running ok
so i don't understand why it is not working with ipecs

abl2910

OK.
It is because if the ISDN clock syncronisation (sync).
The ISDN sync (clock from the public ISDN network), if missing , then the DECT part will not work well.
We have seen that with the Aastra (Ericsson) MD110 and MX-ONE. If you do not have ISDN clock sync into the "box" containing both the DECT system and the ISDN system, these two systems go out-of-sync, and DECT will not work stable.
Therefore we always use an ISDN2 (BRI) to give sync to PBX with DECT, where the PBX is a part of an IP network.

hello

ok, but how can this be don
on a ipecs 50 with an ipecs wtim modul and kirk repeter
is it imposibel to do

abl2910

Maybe you are right: It could be impossible!

Try to make some tests where you have the iPECS modules installed in a closed network with good grounding for both the MFIM (iPECS 50) and the WTIM.

I guess that it could be a problem because you can not get the ISDN sync to work over the IP network.

Pleas try and let me know.

Otherwise yo must report this to LG.

P.S.!!
This issue is the same with LDK-50/100 if you forgot to use the sync cables for the STIB boards, if more than one STIB was used!
LG could "invent" the sync cables for the WTIB, maybe.

Hi abl

I have spoken to CHC, your colleague.
Please contact me next week, or when you have the time.

Any luck with your new KIRK DECT repeater??

The official description
Our customer has an iPECS50 system with 3 DECT bases and our engineer extended this system with a KIRK DECT repeater.
However, it is possible to get handover to work in one direction when the engineer go from the KIRK repeater to the iPECS base.
The call will handover if the engineer go from the iPECS DECT base to KIRK repeater the call will NOT handover to KIRK repeater.

The s/w of the iPECS is 5.0Hb

We have made some "guesses" with this issue:
It could be because if the ISDN clock synchronization (sync). The ISDN sync (clock from the public ISDN network), if missing, then the DECT part will not work well. If you do not have ISDN clock sync into the "box" containing both the DECT system and the ISDN system, these two systems go out-of-sync, and DECT will not work stable. (We guess that sync cannot be carried over the IP network).

So our question is:
Could this be the reason or will KIRK DECT repeaters just not work with iPECS and WTIM??

Let me know, if you have any comments or inputs.

Hi abl

Did you get an answer from LG??

///doktor

Hello
Lg answer is that they don't support kirk repeter on ipecs WTIB, they support only LDK system
