iPECS 5.5 Tapi out while Hunt grp ringing issue

iPECS 5.5. While a station that is part of a hunt group is ringing that station user cannot use TAPI to dial out. I know this is an unusual situation but we need to be able to make TAPI outbound calls regardless of whether there are inbound calls to the hunt group the station belongs to. I tried changing the call line preference but that did not help. Does anyone have any ideas on how this could be achieved? Thanks.

you can try put a dummy station number in the hunt group and as call coverage on a station flex button.
