Just wondering if anyone had this issue before. Our IPDA telephones when down, no power to the digital telephone. The TMANI 2327 x100 card had a red light. I am able to communicate with the host and the ipda. Any ideas?
What are you using for a link between the mothership and the IPDA? Are they both in the same facility or are they connected through some kind of leased circuit? I would check with your provider for that line if so. In the case of a T1 or PRI interface there should be smart jacks on both sides and you can tell the status of the line by the LED indications on the module.
If in the same facility, are you running redundant LAN links connected to two different LAN switches? Try disconnecting one and see if it falls over to the other one. Restart the LAN gear responsible for that connection... There could be a lot of reasons for the Comm failure including the Comm card itself.
Don, it turned out to be that the network circuit when down for about 2 minutes and the switch was set to return to normal after 24 hours. The emergency mode didn't kick in because there was no database on the switch. THE AP and APE did not sync. Everything is working now.
