IPCop 1.2 and 1.3 Any good?? Any other suggestions??

I have never used linux except installing Redhat 9 once and not being able to install anything, not that I tried much.

Eitherway I have decided I want to learn so I was looking at setting up a linux based firewall. I have already got IPCop 1.2 + fixes and 1.3 + fixes and the instuction book for each.

Are either of these any good?

If not can you suggest something? and maybe give the location and some basic instructions?
