I have various laptop users who travel between offices under the same domain name.

These offices consist of different ip address ranges and for them to logon to the network they have to use dosprompt and ipconfig /release/renew to get them to logon to the local server.

Not all users are computer literate so trying to explain how to type commands is proving to be very time consuming.

I would like to provide winipconfig as used under win9x but this doesn't exist for NT.

Is there a WINNT version of WINIPCONFIG i can use???

ipconfig works under NT.

winipcfg is a windows app for 9x.

Implement DHCP in your offices and the problem will go away.

There is a utility in the 4.0 server resource kit called WNTIPCFG that will do what you are referring to. You could also create a batch file that included the ipconfig commands needed so all the user had to do was double-click the file to execute the release and renew.
