ipconfig /flushdns... doesn't

We have two computers on our LAN configured as follows:

Computer A is named COMPA and has a static IP of 192.168.1.18.

Computer B is named COMPB and has a static IP of 192.168.1.228.

From the server, if I ping COMPB, it returns with an IP of 192.168.1.18.

I've run ipconfig /flushdns from the server, and still get the same results. We've re-booted both workstations.

I've run an IP scanner (AngryIP, aka ipscan.exe) from our server, and it shows BOTH computers... it shows upper-case "COMPB" as 192.168.1.18, and lower-case "compb" as 192.168.1.228.

Any idea why this is yielding these results? How can I fix this?

... or said another way:

If I ping COMPA *or* COMPB, I still ge the same IP address of 192.168.1.18.

My bad - 192.168.1.18 was defined in the Hosts file on the server.
