I have an IP CCIS connection to a branch office that uses SV9300.

It's halfway across the planet. Ping response time to that site is 650ms...

When I call them, their phone rings. When they pick up, they say "Hallo?", but I don't hear that. Establishing that audio connection after pick-up takes maybe a second. So they have to say "Hallo?" another time, and I hear that second "Hallo?"

In other words, whatever they say in the first second or so, after picking the phone, I can't hear. After that, the conversation sounds normal. This goes the other way around too. If they call me, they can't hear whatever I say in the first second after pickup.

I've been playing around with LOC ID and AIVCL assignment to prioritize packets going to that office, I also checked "Low Delay" checkbox in AIVCL command, but I could not make an improvement on this. I actually don't even know what that checkbox can do on speeding up packets....

Any idea from anybody?

I've had these problems when using "link reconnect" or transferring out of an auto attendant across CCIS.

Does this happen with a simple station-to-station CCIS call?

Yes, these are plain station to station calls.

So when you disabled "Link reconnect", did that help/improve/resolve the problem?

NTAC provided this when we reported an issue. I know it's a little different than your issue but I know I've seen it before and I'm just trying to remember how we handled it.

What can cause a one second pause in speech cut through after Link Reconnect on the IPS or SV8300 when using Peer to Peer CCIS?
Command 410 1st Data 113 set to a 01 in both the Main and Remote CCIS Nodes will usually correct the issue.

Interestingly, data 113 is not described in the manual and doesn't show up on PC Pro. I can only modify it in CLI...

Got some help from NTAC. They said I'm doing something that's impossible: IP CCIS over a 600ms latency connection...
We adjusted jitter buffer settings, also some timers with ASYDL, but we only made some barely noticeable improvement.

I guess that's the end of trying to debug this.
