iPaq5550 doesnt sync with Outlook2003 even with AVSYNC3.7.1

Hi All,
I have a newly purchased DELL LatD400 notebook with preinstalled Office2003 basic on WinXP-Pro. I have an iPAQ PocketPC 5550 which used to synchronize very well with OutlookXP, but somehow it doesnt synchronize with Outlook2003!!!
Whenever i run "Get Connected" wizard from ActiveSync3.7.1, the device is found and tries to sync, but says "Outlook is not installed, please re-install".
It is able to synchronize the 'PocketPC folder' on desktop.. but doesnt see Outlook!!

Please help.
