When using active sync the time on my ipaq is changed, this has just change to 06:25 and windows says its 22:26, check bios time and thats 22:26 any ideas.
We need to be sure that your settings are correct on your PPC. Goto Start --> Settings --> System tab at the bottom. Check your Regional Settings (toward bottom). Look at the Time and Date tabs to be sure they match what you need. Tap OK at the top and check your Clock settings. Make sure you have the right Time Zone, and try re-syncing. I am sure that the PPC will display teh 24-hr time like you want (if I understand the post correctly).
Thanks for the replie, both pc and pocketpc are set on the twenty four hour clock format and both show the time now if a sync the ppc to my pc then the time is thrown out, also just noticed that outlook also displays the time wrong on my pc when a email is recieved ?
Which version of Windows and Office are you using?
Also, is Outlook getting e-mail from your ISP, or are you in a corporate enviorment using Exchange Server?
Using windows 98 on pc and office xp pro, outiook is getting emails from isp.
Looked everywhere for this clock problem and cant see why, contacted isp and they checked their end or so they say, but in message body properties the time is right and then on the screen its wrong? even more of a puzzle.
Need the demons removing from my machine, any ideas on a excorsim (might be spelt wrong)
There is only one way to remove the gremlins in your PC, format and start over. But before you do that, let me see if I can find a solution without re-formatting. Give me the day and I will let you know one way or the other what I find.
Also, I am guessing you are using Outlook XP for your e-mail, calendar and stuff because you are syncing your PPC. Let me know if I am wrong and you are using Outlook Express.
Check your time zone settings - on the PC they're under Control Panel/Date/Time and on the iPaq they're under Settings/Clock. It's the time ZONE settings that you're after, not the actual time settings. Make sure that the setting on the PC matches the one on the iPaq, and make sure that they're both set to the right time zone.
This does have me baffeled. Using Outlook Express would not matter on the time thing, I was just trying to see if there would have been a connection to why your time is messed up.
Did this problem just start out of the blue or after you installed some software? Software loaded to your PC or PPC or both can cause very strange things tho happen.
It did start after norton reject some infected emails, i have been looking for software that would check my pc for any hidden programs and sort far everything i have tried comes out clean even norton have suggested that there software does not alter the clock and they think i am daft. I have said to them and microsoft i will pay their costs to come and have a look and if it is happening they pay there own costs.
This has got me, done all the normal things checked bios, regional settings, pulled my hair out, and jumped up and down on the stop and none of these has fixed it.
