Hi,

Just treated myself to a IPAQ 5550 and found out the Microsoft have withdrawn pocket access a long time ago, i have a db in access and would like to us it on my IPAQ anybody else do this, and how.

Thanks

Welcome to the Pocket PC world.

I use a program called SprintDB Pro. It uses the .cdb (.mdb compacted for PPC use). ActiveSync will convert the file for you. All it does it get the database to the PPC, you have to re-create the forms, queries and stuff. SprintDB Pro does offer a desktop companion. If you need assistance, let me know.

Also there is HandDBase and Visual CE. Both are good, bu t I recommend SprintDB Pro. Goto and take a look at all of the PPC software there.

Been looking at sprint is it that good everybody seams to recommend it.

I think it is. There is some learning curve to make the forms do what you want, but I find it not to difficult. Tried HandDBase and found it did not agree with me in userability. SprintDB Pro reminds me of Microsoft Access more that the others.
