I just found this forum - i posted here:
thread690-743440

Basically i get an error using either ipagent v3 or v2 trying to login to my switch. I get:

"IPagent V3 stations are not allowed to logon to this server. Please contact administrator."

I tried IPagent V2 as well, and get the same error. Am i missing something?

Thanks for any assistance provided.

This is actually an Avaya Definity (Multivantage) question. Refer to that forum.
About your question:
In Avaya Site Administration enter the command: disp sys cus and look on the last page for the number of IP agent licences and the release supported by your Definity.
Good luck and lemmeknow...

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to update this i think..

I figured out what was wrong. We were licensed for IPSoftphone, not IPAgent. Me having no experience with either of them - didn't catch it right away, and honestly didn't even know there was a difference! :)

Anyway, I downloaded ipsoftphone, installed it, and it works great!
