Hi All...

Just looking for some assistance on a lingering issue. Customer has an ip500v2, 6.0.18 w/embedded vm 2 combo cards. 7 total analog trunk ports in use. They're experiencing continued interference on inbound/outbound calls. They hear clicks, pops, and an occasional sound like a call hanging up.

Attempts to resolve include: replacing combo cards, pulling cross connects and repunching. I've also pulled each line out of the system and tested, can't duplicate the issue with much success. We've also had the carrier test each individual line for trouble. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything in line or trunk settings.

Thanks again.

What do they hear ??

Because there´s a PCN regarding a similar, not exactly, according to what you describe.

PCN Number: 1786B

This PCN applies to ‘whistling or whining’ noise on analog voice
lines that have been determined through Tier support.

Google it.

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply Roger. They hear a series of static-like clicking or pops on the call. And the call can be either direction, inbound or outbound. I will check out the PCN, thanks again.

Actually, sounds like one of the lines has issue. Can you determine if it is a specific line or is it all in/out calls? Traces can help with this as well as dialing each line.
