Hello

This is my first post and first Avaya interaction. I am not IT support nor I have an avaya licenses, since I don't have a company.

Heres some context:

This avaya ip500v2 was given to me as the old company was sold and everything IT related was given to me. I tried doing something with it few years ago when I was given this ip500v2, but ended up not doing anything with it since I had no luck turning it on and doing something with it. Now when I tried again I got idea I'm gonna sell it or do a home voip service as its going to teach me something still.

so now some context was given, I have 2 questions.

1. If I'm going to sell it how much I cant get for it? It has own Avayas SD card, vcm32v2 and an UC MODULE 700501442. I also Avaya ip1616-1 VoIP that's also having issues with deleting all the configs, stuck in "Enter PROCPSWD" as I don't know any of the passwords I'm kind of hopeless with that phone.

2.
While deleting the Control Unit's Security config. while booting up it does something displaying its working and trying to boot, BUT when it comes to "Sorting directory list." it just freezes. The whole Unit just doesn't do anything, I feel like its just on its config and doing something. But as I don't have any software to check it with (I do have ipoffice manager but it asks admin password which I don't know)
I feel like there's still something to do with it. clearing the SD card perhaps? But I don't own any software do it with.

Thanks

To sell it you would need to know if there are licenses on the system and you have to NOT DELETE THE CONFIGURATION OR DEFAULT the system. I seem to read that you already did so oops.

the licenses are a string of letters, numbers and symbols that are only in the configuration. You should open it with the Manager program and look for it as with licenses the system can be sold for more money than without as just a piece of hardware. You can find the configuration on the SD card in the System - Primary folder named config.cfg

I find that the UCM's are useless and worthless but there are some people that are probably paying for it and in lower releases it will add a virtual VmPro license to the system.
You will have to find out the release of the system as well.

As for pricing it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it and it won't be much without licenses and on an old release. You also get more with phones as a complete system.

If you are lucky it may be on the default password of Administrator.

When you have found the release go to ipofficekb.com select the release, essential edition, technical manuals which should keep you buy, Best to start with installation.

Yeah i tried that didn't work. Also one issue is that I tried using serial and it just gets stuck on the sorting directory list while booting up

When deleting config does it also delete the sd card? I browsed the sd card on my pc. It had all kinds of things, one that stood out was the config.cfg. as of viewing it, nope. it looked like its corrupted or something or it just needs proprietary software from avaya?

What kind of sum should I even try sell it for, 40bucks? both phone and the unit with modules?

config.cfg needs the Manager software from Avaya not a text editor

I can't tell you the price for it, look around what other people are selling it for and if you want to get rid of it, just be cheaper. I don't sell or buy so I am not looking for it online.
