IP406v2 upgrade

I recently upgrade an IP 406v2 to 3.2(59) after message stating successful upgrade the unit continuously rebooted I could not even get in via DTE port. I removed VCM module unit functions fine I tried a VCM module from another unit the unit in question functions fine. But now the monitor will not connect to the unit???? Should I default the unit and reprogramm from scratch?

What were you upgrading from. Did you use the interim builds.

reset the security settings:

wire up your pc with a serial cable
run hyperterminal : 38400,8,N,1
type AT <enter> response must be : ok
then type AT SECURITYRESETALL <enter>

I was upgrading from 3.1(??) Is there an iterim build?
I tried serial port to default the unit I can read all the text as it scrolls while booting but I can never get it to accept commands. Tried hitting escape while it booted from a power up no response Am I missing something has the software been corrupted some how? The unit seems to be functioning fine except that I can not monitor it.
