Hi Guys,

I have a client with an IP406 (first version) and since we moved them to v3 we've had lots of problems.

Firstly, when calling ANY number, you get a ring tone. For example, if you phone a telephone number which is out of service, or even if you call 123456, it proceeds to act like it's making a call by presenting the caller with a ring tone. The phones are POTS on a Phone 30 (think it may also be happening on a Phone 16 but not confirmed yet!).

Secondly, when a user presses recall to transfer a call, it cuts the caller off immediately. This is not the usual flash hook problem, it actually ends the call. Tried everything, even hook persistency and busy tone detection etc. I'm convinced this is not a PBX issues because Phone Manager works using bays, hold and transfer. Looks like it's a v3 POTS issue. We have the problewm on two types of POTS as well.

The system is now on 3.0 (40) but has been on (44) and it still didn't work.

It was recently upgraded from 2.1 to v3 in order to support ContactStore.

I'm getting desperate - please help!!!!

We're running lots of POTS phones on 3.0.44 (and for a while on 3.0.40), but did not experience any of these issues. I know this doesn't help too much, but it does go some way to letting you know that it's not a general issue. It may well be worth re-upgrading the POTS modules.
