How do I return an IP403 to its factory default settings with out being able to connect to it using the manager software?

You need to connect to the DTE port on the rear of the unit using hyperterminal or similar terminal emulation software.

set the protocol to 38400 baud 8 data 1 stop no parity.

Reboot the IPO & press esc untill you get the monitor sign on msg,

eenter the following in turn

AT-X2
AT-X3
& if on a 2.0 system AT-X4

this will erase the cfg

Reboot the system & it will be in factory defaults.

Check the tool tips on the docs cd for further information

thanks the procedure worked as advertised.
