IP2004 Move Question (newbie)

Folks,

I need to switch some users around while retaining their existing phone numbers. I’ve printed out the DNB/TNB of each of their phones for reference.

These users have a primary desk phone and a conference phone in their office.

Questions:

1) I will need to move the desk phone and the conference phone separately, right?
2)How can I identify which is the primary desk phone based on the DNB print out below?
3)How can I identify which is the conference phone based on the DNB print out below?
4) What is the KEY 00 H and KEY 00 H MARP mean?
5) Will I need to swap/move the physical sets in the offices? I shouldn’t because they are IP sets, right?
6) I can use ld 11 to do the move, right?

> Type = I2004
>TN (current) 252 0 01 21
> TN (destination)

Will ld 11 be sufficient to do the move or is there more to the move??

marp.. which station controls that number.. usually the primary dn on key 0.. to move ip sets. unplug the sets and plug them back in.. as long as they are on the same network, they will keep the numbers.. IF the conf phone is analog, then do a layer one move..

you can change dn's on an ip in ld 11.. but with ip, layer one is (almost) dhcp.. plug it in, it knows the correct tn and "remember" it's key layout

Well you can change programming but bc they are ip phones you can just move the phone and the programming will follow.

If I understand you correctly (since all of the users are on the same network), all I need to do is to move their phone sets from their current office to their new one?

In general for an IP Phone, just unplug it in one location and plug it back in at the new location. The only complication comes into play if your network uses VLANs, Access Control Lists, different DHCP scopes,... or some other mechanism which changes the IP connectivity between the two locations.
