Hi,

A Ping gives me ..

Unable to contact IP Driver, Error 2,

Ipconfig gives …

An internal error occurred: the request is not supported.

Additional info: unable to query routing information.

I am using XP Pro.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the network driver for the ethernet. Try attahcing and removing the TCP/IP protocols and nothing works.

We cannot access the LAN even through a manually configured IP Address (that’s available) – any suggestions?


The properties of LAN Connection (bottom right 2 screen icon) gives in the Support Tab the info IP (TCP/IP) as for all <unavailable>.

Hey,

This did not work - I tried it before making the post - sorry should have said.

What I did do was a system restore from a point prior to the date the TCP/IP stopped working and this worked - about 5 minutes ago. So it's fixed.

But I really want to know what causes this type of problem (we had installed some PGP software) and how to resolve it!
