IP vs IPX connecting to Netware 5.1 1

Hi everyone

Can anyone help with advice on configuring SLP on netware 5.1 servers and clients.
The reason being when users connect over IP and save documents it can take up
to 10times as long as it does when logging in over IPX.
We do not run Novell DNS /DHCP.

Firstly, what version of the NetWare Client are you using? The latest for NT/2000/XP is v4.83 SP1 and I would recommend you upgrade and test before going any further if you are running an older version.

Many thanks - We have both NT/2000 and win9x clients
the versions are 4.83 on latest Nt/2000 clients
3.21 upwards on win9x clients
4.71 on some older nt clients
