IP Virtual Office Issue

Afternoon

We have a CS1000e running release 6.0 serving around 300 1120E IP Handsets (0624C8G). Each handset is served by a 'dummy' DN, so that each users extension isn't physically build on a handset. A user simply logs onto a spare handset with their own DN using the IP Virtual Office feature.

We have started to receive complaints that users are being 'kicked off' their extension numbers and the handset reverts back to the dummy number. Although I haven't proven it yet it quite often occurs after a user takes the forward to voicemail (call pilot) off.

We have PCs that connect to the ethernet port of the 1120e handsets - they don't seem to be affected when the user is 'kicked off'.

The handsets are served by a number of seperate edge switch stacks within our Campus LAN and they don't show anything obvious within the logs.

Just wondered if anyone else had come across anything similar? Could this be a patching issue on the CS1000 or an issue with the firmware we are running on the 11020s?

Cheers

I have seen similar things with a 1140 virtual office logins when the host / dummy set was set to register at the branch site rather than the main site.

If you are using DHCP for configuration then for the dummy sets the S1 needs to point to the Main site and S2 to the branch (for survivability).
In our case this meant going around all the dummy sets and manually forcing the S1 and S2 settings. (All our dummmy sets are at the branch site).
