How do I know how many IP trunks I have on a Option 81? Is there a load I will find that in?

You don't use Virtual Trunks if you have "JUST" IP phones at those locations that are registered on "Your 81c" system. You would be using your LAN only.

You DO use VGMC turnks for DSP resources, but that is for IP to TDM or TDM to IP conversion only, not for VIRTUAL Trunks to other systems.

If you have IP Enabled Phone systems at the remote locations there might be virtual trunks in use.

H.323 Trunks are Virtual Trunks (or SIP).

Are the sets registered to your local Signaling server or do they have their own? I most cases you only have one route for IP trunks and they are shared between all sites. This is done so that if site b calls site c it does not have to go through site a to get there.

This will list all trunks in your system and you can see how many are IP trunks.

You do not have any IP trunks in your system. All sets are registered to your system as if they were on site.

The only other thing that could possibly be happening is that you are tied to the other systems via T1.

I was asked to give a number of total IP trunks going through our WAN to remote pbx's..I am not up to speed on IP phones so I am doing my best to understand how it all is setup and working. Thanks for everyones input!
