IP Trunking Issue

I have a cluster of 4 x Mitel 3300's with IP/XNET trunking set up between them however one of the controllers cannot be called and returns out of service.

When I run state xnet it returns a link status of idle on the out of service link and the location ID info does not appear to be complete compared to the established links which have additional info under Location Dvc.

Any suggestions why this might be happening?

The data network appears fine with data working ok and all devices can be pinged.

Thanks

The usual suspect is the Profile configuration.

The remote profile entry must match the profile that the other machine uses to call back.

Another likely candidite is the trunk service assignment. It is set to absorb zero on bith sides?

If not that, you will need to give details from the forms as programmed.

Another thing to check

What results do you get to and from the system with the Maintenance command...

Rmessage verify PBX x LAN

(X = PBX number to call)

Verify the data in ICP-PBX Assignment, XNET-ICP Assignment, XNET/IP Trunk Profile Assignment, and XNET/IP Trunk Group assignment. Likely issues would be the IP address of each ICP in ICP-PBX Assignment, and the aforementioned IP Trunk Profile numbers.

Something else you can try which will determine if the routing is in place, from the maintenance command line enter - TRACERT RTC xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (ip address of remote controller) if you get a response you know the routing is ok. this will then mean you need to look at the config on both system.
