We have one of these and every now and then the IP phones will lose their connection to the BCM and when I try to ping the BCM it is unreachable. I also at these times try to connect to the management port using the 10.10.11.1 address and can't get a response their either.

Usually I have to reboot the thing several times without the expansion module powered up to resolve this issue. There seems to be no obvious cause for this problem. It will just happen when the system is idle and no calls are active. Far as I know I am current on patches. Anyone had this happen?

Haven't had it happen.

1. Do you have a battery backup/Line conditioner?
a. a "double inline conversion" is best. Will always work off the batteries, so spiking/brownouts won't be a problem.

2. You do realize it takes, somewhere between 5minutes/10,13minutes for the bcm50 to boot up, right?
a. the phones may come up quicker, but the other interfaces may take awhile.

Yep, we have a UPS system for the office and yes I know how long it takes for it to boot up.
