WHEN I MAKE CALL THROUGH IP SOFTPHONE I GET TWO ERRORS

Another application is using the sound device. Close that application and select "Retry".Otherwise, select "Cancel"(the call will not be completed).

IF I HIT RETRY I GET THIS ERROR

The sound device is still inaccesssible, and the IP voice session cannot be established for the current call.

I HAVE SERCHED THE TASK MANAGER AND CANOT FIND ANYTHING ELSE RUNNING. I AM USING THE MIC INPUT AND OUTPUT OF THE SOUND CARD WHICH DOES WORK OR AT LEAST FOR LISTENING TO MUSIC.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

This is not a switch issue. So, CM software and clan programming is not going to help troubleshoot this.

What version software / SP is your IP softphone?
What Operating system is on your PC?
Have you used the audio tuning wizard?
How are your IP softphone settings configured?

softphone version is 5.09.7 (service pack 2)

running XP pro Service Pack 3

I have run the wizard it goes through the setup of finding my sound card and testing it, coming back good

I have the primary call server set to be the address of the C-lan

Road warrior mode is set to LAN

Local port Lowest 2048 and Highest 3029

Was that what you are looking for?

Latest release is Version R6.0 SP9 and would work great with XP pro SP3 and with CM3 642.1

Make sure your bandwidth setting matches closest to your actual network speed.
