IP Softphone (RW Mode) on Vista VM

Has anyone out there gotten the IPSoftphone to work on a Vista VMware machine? I can get it to work in either mode to take over the phone, but Road warrior will not come up. I get a pop up that the VM machine cannot see that it has a headset attached (although it is there when you look in device mangler of the VM). Advice/ideas appreciated :)
