Hi,

Does anyone know of an alternative to Avaya's softphone? The reason i ask is that it won't integrate with Lotus Notes in the way that we would like. We have our contacts stored on a network location, ie, not on C:\ as recommended by IBM so that backups can be taken and the softphone is unable to query the contacts database because of this.

I have had avaya look into this and they basically are saying that it won't work if we store our contacts on a network location. Any advise or alternatives would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah, well that would be nice but doesn't look like happening I'm afraid!

Sorry for being a smartass. I have had many problems with integration between Lotus and any other systems. IBM doesn't like to play well with others when it comes to this. I had the hardest time getting IBM and Cisco to talk with integrating Unity and Lotus. It's a nightmare and I feel for you. Sorry I couldn't help with your original issue.
