IP Softphone 2050 Password

Can anyone help me with the password for the 2050? A customer is trying to install it and it's asking for one. I gave him what I thought it might be, but it's not taking. They have enough licenses for the ip softphone.

You asked for the password, I know that is the pw for the 1140, so I am guessing it is the same.

Spell out the color and set based on the keyboard, put the * in between.

is it the registration password your looking for?
that can be different for every site
you will have to get it from the bcm ip registration in programing

2050 does not use the color*set password.

Try a passcode of 2264, which I think spells BCMI or use a telset login and passcode if it asks for that instead.

I gave him 2264 and the telset login and pw. None are working. I have no idea what to do for this guy.

go into the bcm programming and look under the ip telephony section there is a registration password
you can either turn the password feature off(not advisable)
or change it to what ever you want
i think the default is 1234

Default is BCMI. You also need to create a set in inactive sets so after the PSWD it asks what DN do you want it.
