Hello,
Here is my issue.
I am able to connect a Nortel i2050 Softphone through the LAN with no problems.
When I try to connect the same Softphone through the WAN I get a message saying:
No ports available.

I have 9 active licenses of 24.
I have assigned a minimum of 8 available licenses.
I have assigned a maximum of 14 available licenses.

I have done the same test with a Nortel Ip 1230 telephone.
It will connect through the LAN but will not through the WAN.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Thanks alot.

No ports available" on the i2050 usually indicates it can't reach the published IP of the BCM.

Usually you want to have a VPN between the BCM and remote location, or laptop, for this to work.
It won't just work over the internet unless all devices have public IP addresses.
You also need to have some specific ports opened on the firewalls at each end.
It's not just plug and pray.

Sometimes you might have IP Phones that aren't registered and used, but still listed as having a port assigned to them. Check to see if any of them need deregistering.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

I don't think you can connect to both at the same time. Only whatever is set in the published ip setting. It can be one or the other.

I have a NAT teleworker licence installed on my BCM.

I also took care of deregistering all ip phones not being used and to be sure I added 5 extra ip licenses.

I have a BCM50 release 6.0 with all updates done.

I have tried installing them at friends and will not work. Not knowing why I tried them on my Lan.

I have done my tests one at a time, Lan ok and Wan no ports available!

Thanks

Hello,

Just to let you know that I found what was my problem.

I did not have my BCM50 Public IP set correctly.
I do not have a static IP from my ISP so once in a while I have to update it in my BCM
whenever the ISP desides to change it.

Et Voila!

Thanks
