I have an office with IP Sets that when they get calls from a softphone that is vpned into our main office cannot hear the caller on the other end. It must have something to do with the routing. Can anyone confirm.
Can the VPN'd user ping the IP sets? Or basically, when the VPN'd user VPN's into the network, do they have access to the network that the VoIP phones are on?
Yes... VPNed user does have access to netowrk. I am able to ping the IP headsets as well as everything in the remtoe site...
Site A - BCM 400 with digital Sets
Site B - 10 IP sets (IPSEC VPN tunnel bewtween Site A & B w/QOS provided by ISP)
Site C - Softphone - VPN into Site A which when VPNed can ping and tracert to all IP devices.
Are site A and site b in the same subnet? When a call is set up the softphone connects to the bcm. Once the call is set up, the packets go from phone to phone. So it sounds like there is a route to the bcm but not the other site. Possibly a gateway issue or the vpn tunnels can't route accross each other.
