let me first explain my setup before I get into my question/s.

I have Win2k3 server with 2 NICs. Nic1 is connects to a broadband modem, & Nic2 connects to a wireless base station , the wireless basestation broadcasts dhcp addresses in the 192.168.0 range. All wireless devices can access and share resources and browse the net.

Setup 2. This second setup is in a differnt part of the house from the first setup, since I live in a shared house.
comprises of Win XP pro with a Wifi NIC & an Intel ethernet pro10/100.(192.168.3.2)
the Intel Nic connects to a Win2k Server (192.168.3.1)which will serve as a n exchange server for my domain. the Win XP box and exchange server are connected using a crossover cable.
I have IP forwarding enabled on the XP box, therefore it acts as a router between the two networks.

I've added route entries on the Win2k3 server so that the server can talk to the exchange server. I can map drives to and from both pc's. I've even added the exchange server to the domain, but I cant access the internet from it.
what should I do inorder to acceess the internet from the exchange server(192.168.3.1)?.
I need this so that I can install exchange and get it working.

I hope you understand my question...

WOW IT WORKS!!! THanks a bcanster. that was genious of you, please bear with me I still have a few questions
this is what I did
I followed the MS article. I changed the dns entry for the exchnage box to 192.168.0.1 the same as the xp box, added mshome.net as the dns suffix and that was all .
Its a bit slow when opening some sites. for example when I enter nba.com in the address bar, it cant resolve the url. only when I add www. at the beginning, and that takes a while for the page to open. does that mean the speed of mail delivery and sending will be affected by this?
Im sure there's a dns problem somewhere
if I do an nslookup on the server connected to the net ''of say maybe I get the following
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: Address: 10.10.10.10

How can I fix my dns? I have no knowledge of dns, but I'm learning much as I read on the forums.
thanks again for your help bcanster

For the Exchange box, open Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab, and checkmark to enable "Use Inline AutoComplete".

This will let you avoid typing WWW
As for DNS I am not sure there is a problem. Try a ping of google.com

If it resolves the IP, and the ping succeeds, there is no DNS issue.

As for speed, wireless is not as fast as cable. It likely would improve things to add a wireless adapter to the Exchange box.

I can ping google and get a reply. But other sites will come up with an IP address and time out. However I can resolve names internally.

thanks for your help once again

This sounds like an MTU issue if you are using ADSL as your broadband.

. Set the router MTU in router setup to manual, with a value of 1492;

. Set all workstation client MTU to 1492. The freeware DrTCP utility makes this easy:
