Hi

We have been assigned 2 subnets on our network and currently our LEA (local education authority) are doing the routing on there cisco switch. They have suggested that we do our own routing to help increase speed.

We have a Cisco 3550-12T as our head switch which I understand does IP routing but I'm not sure if this requires extra software to be purchased? We also have 2 network cards in our main server which are currently teamed with one IP address assigned.

Although I think the cisco will be best to do the routing I have no idea how to implement this?
