IP question

Good day.
I have added an old computer to the network that had the username of a current computer. I renamed/setup the old computer and it can log on to the network. Now the new computer cannot connect to the network.
I have knocked the leases off, but I know I am missing something.


I am running Windows 2k server with XP workstations. Any thoughts would be helpful.

IF Win2000 AD, use active directory to delete the workstation from the domain and wait about 15 min the add it back to the domain.
