IP Phones - Features on Buttons

I'm trying to assign F986 to a button. It keeps telling me that feature "9" is not valid.

How can I do this? I see the rest of the voicemail options are all programmed on here.....?

Should be like any other BCM/Norstar phone - feature *3, press the button to program, then press feature 986. Never had a problem doing it before.
